Mark Kramer

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

The main theme in the work of  Mark Kramer is the loneliness of mankind. With an oeuvre from installations and sculpture he creates an imaginary world in which  men are wandering through a surrealistic landscape or floating over endless fields or in the depth of endless wide-open space. Trapped in the daily grind. By transforming plastic figurines into new figures he creates a surreal world. Like a mirror world of everyday life. The work is concerned with isolation, fear, desolateness, fragility and the littleness of mankind.
